Senior Business Technology Engineer (AI Automation)

Location: McLean, Virginia, United States; work model: on-site

Base salary: $75,000–$175,000 USD annually, with a possible discretionary bonus.

What you will do

• Manage secure IT enclaves and maintain compliance with CMMC and NIST 800-171 requirements.
• Execute operating system and third-party application patch management, vulnerability remediation, and security control implementation.
• Maintain automated onboarding and offboarding using Windows Autopilot and Apple Business Manager.
• Develop PowerShell, Bash, and Python scripts for software distribution, configuration, and IT task automation.
• Optimize manual support workflows and handle complex Tier-2/Tier-3 endpoint escalations.
• Document system configurations and SOPs while collaborating with Information Security and Network teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, Information Technology, or a related technical discipline.
• At least 4 years of experience in desktop engineering or a similar IT role.
• Enterprise administration and troubleshooting experience with Windows 10/11 and macOS.
• Experience with endpoint management platforms such as Microsoft Intune, Jamf Pro, Addigy, or NinjaOne.
• Working knowledge of PowerShell, Bash, or zsh, plus endpoint encryption, antivirus deployment, and identity management fundamentals.
• Ability to work on-site in McLean, Virginia.

Nice to have

• Experience with zero-trust security models and endpoint protection tools.
• Knowledge of Azure AD, Google Workspace, AWS WorkSpaces, or similar cloud-based IT solutions.
• Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator certification.
