Junior Systems Administrator – Back End Night Shift

Location: Primarily onsite in Kearneysville, West Virginia, with occasional remote work subject to operational needs and management approval. Back-end night shift: 18:45–07:00, Thursday through Saturday, with rotating Wednesdays.

Salary: $65,000–$85,000 annually.

What you will do

• Manage and maintain Windows and Linux servers, operating systems, and enterprise applications in a 24/7 operations center.
• Support VMware and Hyper-V virtualization environments to maintain resource efficiency and high availability.
• Administer Active Directory, Group Policy, and user access controls.
• Monitor system health, performance, and security events using tools such as SolarWinds.
• Troubleshoot server, operating system, and application issues, escalating complex incidents as needed.
• Automate routine operational tasks with PowerShell and Bash while collaborating with internal IT teams.

Requirements

• High school diploma and 3–6 years of experience, or equivalent experience.
• Current DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification, such as Security+ CE or CySA+.
• Basic experience with Windows and Linux servers, operating systems, and enterprise applications.
• Foundational knowledge of VMware and Hyper-V, system monitoring, and troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with PowerShell and Bash scripting.
• Active Secret Clearance and availability for a 24/7 night-shift schedule are required.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting the U.S. Coast Guard, DHS, or federal maritime programs.
• Experience with enterprise networks, datacenter environments, enterprise servers, and virtual machines.
• Microsoft Azure Fundamentals certification or equivalent.
