Supply Chain & Logistics Specialist (m/f/d)

Location: Canso, Nova Scotia, Canada. The role includes an extended onboarding and training period at the headquarters in Germany or the launch site in Norway before transitioning to Canso. Flexible working arrangements may be required during the initial launch site development phase.

What you will do

• Establish local procurement and supply chains for the launch site's build-up and operational phases.
• Source and purchase specialized materials, equipment, and services in line with project specifications and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate with the central procurement team in Germany and manage supplier quality, pricing, and delivery performance.
• Create and maintain purchase orders, contracts, invoices, and other procurement records in SAP.
• Set up storage facilities, warehouse management, and on-site transportation processes.
• Coordinate goods flow with production, warehouse, and other departments while improving procurement and logistics processes.

Requirements

• Education or experience in economics, logistics, procurement, or a related field.
• Strong negotiation skills and commercial understanding.
• Knowledge of warehouse management and logistics.
• Good written and verbal English communication skills.
• Structured, accurate, hands-on, solution-oriented, and independent working style with a strong sense of responsibility.
• Experience with SAP or another ERP procurement system and MS Office.

Nice to have

• Good local network and knowledge of specific conditions at the site.
• Experience in process plants or similar industries.
