Sourcing Specialist (Energy)

What you will do

• Execute sourcing and procurement activities for goods and services supporting major capital projects.
• Develop sourcing strategies, run competitive RFX events, evaluate suppliers, and conduct market assessments.
• Support supplier selection, commercial and contractual negotiations, contracting and compensation model recommendations.
• Administer purchase orders and contracts throughout their lifecycle, including amendments, change management, claims support, renewals, and closeout.
• Monitor supplier performance, contract compliance, commercial obligations, spend commitments, invoices, and reconciliations.
• Support stakeholders across Project Management, Engineering, Legal, Finance, and Supply Chain while identifying opportunities to improve procurement and contracting practices.

Requirements

• Relevant degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of progressive experience in sourcing, procurement, contract management, or supply chain.
• Experience executing competitive sourcing events and supporting commercial negotiations.
• Knowledge of procurement best practices, contract formation, and supplier management.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, decision-making, communication, influencing, and negotiating skills.
• Working knowledge of project execution, contract lifecycles, and commercial management principles.
• Experience supporting claims, change management, and contract administration.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Nice to have

• SCMP or equivalent professional designation.
• Experience with EPC/EPCM, construction, engineering, equipment, services, or material supply agreements.
• Experience supporting major capital projects and/or the energy sector.
• Experience with sourcing methodologies, commercial evaluation, and supplier qualification processes.
• Oracle ERP or a similar procurement system experience.
