Operational Radar Engineer (Eurofighter Radar & EW)

Location: Getafe Area, with work at customer facilities at CLAEX, Torrejón de Ardoz Air Base, Spain. Hybrid working is available when possible, with regular customer interaction and domestic business travel.

What you will do

• Provide technical assistance and guidance throughout the adoption of radar-related systems for the Spanish Air Force.
• Define, prepare, analyze, and evaluate operational data for radar capabilities, software, rigs, and flight tests.
• Support the evolution and evaluation of the Mk1 Radar Equipment and ESCAN integration within the Eurofighter fleet.
• Review supplier documentation and support technical inquiries, specifications, resource acquisition, and system adoption.
• Coordinate Airbus, customer, supplier, and other national and international stakeholders.
• Support military exercises, evaluation campaigns, customer operations, and business meetings at supplier facilities.

Requirements

• Degree in RF, telecommunications, aeronautical, electrical, or related engineering.
• Experience with avionics systems requirements, specification, certification, or qualification, particularly airborne sensors, radar, or electronic warfare systems.
• Experience with operational capabilities evaluation and validation using AVS rigs and systems such as radar, IFF, FLIR, DASS, datalinks, armament, sensor fusion, and HMI data.
• Operational experience defining data for flight tests and supporting military aircraft deployments, missions, briefings, or debriefings.
• Experience writing technical documentation and strong communication, collaboration, and independent working skills.
• Fluent written and spoken English, availability to travel, and current HPS NATO Secret and national security clearance are required.

Nice to have

• Radar technology and AESA radar knowledge.
• Knowledge of operational data impact on avionics weapon systems at different integration levels.
• Software development experience and awareness of AI technologies.
• IT literacy, including MS Office and database management tools.
