Junior Aerodynamics Engineer (Aerospace)

Location: Getafe Area, Spain; hybrid working model when possible.

What you will do

• Design external aircraft geometries and build aerodynamic databases covering steady and unsteady loads, performance, stability, and handling qualities.
• Run CFD simulation campaigns and participate in experimental wind tunnel testing.
• Perform safe separation analyses for external stores, cargo integration, and complex maneuvers.
• Develop, optimize, and maintain aerodynamic methods, scripts, and technology roadmaps using Python and Matlab.
• Collaborate with Flight Physics, Structures, Flight Control, Loads, Mass Properties, and external aerospace research groups.
• Deliver aerodynamic solutions across the aircraft lifecycle while meeting time, cost, and quality standards.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Aerospace or Aeronautical Engineering, or an equivalent qualification.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in military transport or combat aircraft aerodynamics, including shape design and characterization, CFD, wind tunnel testing, or safe separation; civil aircraft experience is also valuable.
• Strong foundation in aerodynamics, fluid mechanics, and flight mechanics.
• Advanced/C1 English required as the global working language.
• Experience with aerodynamic design, numerical prediction tools, high-performance meshing, solver execution, or aerodynamic databases is valuable.

Nice to have

• PhD in Aerospace Engineering focused on Aerodynamics or Fluid Dynamics.
• Experience with aerodynamic shape design and optimization.
• Hands-on experience with Python, Matlab, or CATIA.
• Wind tunnel testing or safe separation analysis experience.
• Professional working knowledge of German or French.
