Finance Manager (PropTech)

What you will do

• Prepare trial balances, management accounts, group consolidation, intercompany balances, FX translation, and acquisition accounting across UK and overseas entities.
• Own group and subsidiary audits, including PBC preparation, auditor queries, Companies House deadlines, audit exemptions, and accounting reference date changes.
• Oversee payroll, variable sales commissions, share scheme compliance, employee expenses, VAT treatment, VAT returns, R&D tax claims, PSA, and P11D filings.
• Run weekly payment cycles, customer refunds, supplier payments, bank and Stripe reconciliations, invoicing, credit control, and landlord rent collections.
• Reconcile revenue, agent fees, customer incentives, subscription billing, discounts, fee waivers, vendor spend, and commercial data across HubSpot and finance systems.
• Automate and document finance workflows using Xero, Joiin, Stripe, HubSpot, Google Sheets, Notion, Zapier, Slack, and Count.

Requirements

• CA, ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified, or qualified by experience, with at least 3 years of finance experience.
• Strong knowledge of UK GAAP and FRS 102, including consolidation and intercompany accounting.
• Strong Excel skills, including formula-driven reconciliations and financial models.
• Experience cleaning and joining large datasets from banks, Stripe, CRM systems, and other sources.
• Clear communication with non-finance colleagues and comfort working in a fast-moving startup.
• A process-improvement mindset, with interest in AI, automation, documentation, and operational accuracy.
