Senior Engineer, Manufacturing Engineering (Semiconductors)

Location: Rockrimmon, Colorado Springs, Colorado, United States; onsite work in a manufacturing and clean room environment, with domestic and international travel as needed.

Salary: $110,000–$135,000 per year, plus annual bonus eligibility.

What you will do

• Acquire custom manufacturing equipment through specification development, design review, vendor selection, procurement, validation, and commissioning.
• Develop and manage project plans within schedule, budget, and quality constraints.
• Review equipment designs, electrical diagrams, P&IDs, floor layouts, URSs, RFPs, FAT plans, and commissioning documentation.
• Conduct vendor-site Functional Acceptance Tests, resolve punch-list issues, and coordinate equipment move-in, installation, hookup, and qualification.
• Analyze manufacturing processes and improve productivity, quality, safety, and ergonomics.
• Define preventive maintenance programs, support troubleshooting and failure analysis, and contribute to SPC, quality, and yield improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, electromechanical, manufacturing, automation engineering, or mechatronics preferred; relevant experience may substitute.
• 5–8+ years of engineering experience in a production environment preferred.
• Experience with equipment design and development, robotics, automation control systems, HVAC, and project management.
• Experience with industrial control systems, PLCs, and control devices including motors, pumps, valves, heaters, and ovens.
• Ability to design and read electrical schematics, P&IDs, control drawings, engineering drawings, and safety standards such as OSHA, NFPA, and UL.
• Ability to lift or move up to 50 pounds, wear PPE, and work in a clean room environment.

Nice to have

• Experience with SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or other CAD modeling tools.
• Experience with Microsoft Office, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Project.
