Manufacturing Engineer (Spector) 1

Location: Somerset, New Jersey, United States; onsite worksite. Relocation assistance is available.

Salary: $76,000–$125,000 per year, plus bonus opportunity.

What you will do

• Provide hands-on engineering support for assembly, integration, testing, and production of complex semiconductor equipment.
• Troubleshoot manufacturing, quality, and reliability issues with technicians, engineers, and operations teams.
• Lead root cause investigations and corrective actions using 8D, 5 Whys, FMEA, and related methodologies.
• Develop and improve manufacturing processes, work instructions, assembly procedures, and controlled production documentation.
• Drive improvements in quality, yield, throughput, efficiency, repeatability, reliability, and manufacturing cost.
• Collaborate with Design Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, Operations, Service, and suppliers on technical and manufacturability challenges.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• At least 2 years of experience in Manufacturing Engineering, Production Engineering, Sustaining Engineering, or a similar role supporting complex electromechanical products.
• Experience with manufacturing, assembly, integration, or testing of complex electromechanical systems.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, schematics, CAD models, bills of material, and GD&T requirements.
• Knowledge of manufacturing documentation, ERP systems such as SAP, root cause analysis, corrective actions, and engineering change processes.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• Five years of experience supporting complex electromechanical systems.
• Experience with semiconductor capital equipment, vacuum systems, automation equipment, precision machinery, scientific instrumentation, or other highly engineered products.
• Experience with PFMEA, control plans, CAPA systems, statistical analysis, process capability studies, DFM, and DFA.
• Familiarity with cleanroom environments and configuration-controlled manufacturing processes.
• Experience mentoring technicians or less experienced engineers and leading complex investigations.
