Manufacturing Engineer III (Advanced Packaging)

Location: Billerica, MA, United States; onsite manufacturing and clean-room work may be required.

Salary: $96,000–$132,000 per year

What you will do

• Develop and maintain methods, operating sequences, and processes for fabricating parts, components, subassemblies, and final assemblies.
• Coordinate product improvements and new product releases with other engineering functions and manage manufacturing engineering projects.
• Lead the use of design for excellence principles to reduce manufacturing and product costs and improve quality.
• Determine time standards and recommend tooling and process requirements.
• Develop test procedures, evaluate test results and work methods, and identify root causes and corrective actions for assembly and system-testing issues.
• Perform Process Failure Mode & Effects Analysis and mentor junior-level engineers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree.
• 4–7 years of experience.
• Conceptual knowledge and technical experience for everyday job-related problem-solving.
• Ability to explain difficult or sensitive information clearly and build consensus.
• Ability to stand for extended periods, work in tight spaces, use hand and power tools, and work in a clean-room environment with required personal protective equipment.
