Manufacturing Engineering Specialist

Location: On-site in Old Hickory, Tennessee (Nashville), United States. Travel may include up to 10% domestic or international travel. Relocation assistance may be authorized. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employment visa sponsorship.

Compensation: $145,676–$178,049 annually, including base pay and variable incentive pay where eligible.

What you will do

• Provide process engineering support across Old Hickory manufacturing operations to improve safety, quality, service, and cost.
• Monitor and improve manufacturing processes using Lean Six Sigma methods, including design of experiments, statistical process control, kaizens, and DMAIC.
• Work with production and maintenance teams to troubleshoot equipment and resolve downtime issues.
• Analyze customer needs and monitor process capabilities.
• Organize and execute engineering projects using project management skills.
• Support technical growth by continuously learning and applying new skills.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or another engineering discipline.
• Seven years of advanced manufacturing experience in a private, public, government, or military environment.
• Current, valid driver’s license.
• Ability to drive a company vehicle; motor vehicle history will be reviewed before and during employment.
• Ability to work cross-functionally, troubleshoot problems, self-motivate, and communicate clearly with operators, plant employees, and management.
• United States work authorization without employment visa sponsorship is required.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in Engineering from an accredited institution.
• Technical experience in polymer extrusion, web handling, fiber spinning, and slitting.
• Experience applying continuous improvement methods to cost reduction, quality improvement, and workplace safety.
