CAM Operations Associate III (Mortgage Operations)

Location: Hybrid position in Getzville, New York, United States of America

Salary: $20.55–$34.25 per hour (USD)

M&T Bank provides banking and mortgage servicing operations, including Hardest Hit Fund account servicing.

What you will do

• Process mortgage insurance claim requests, REO payee header requests, foreclosure evaluations, and mortgage or consumer checks.
• Manage state demand letter procedures and registration requirements for assigned states.
• Review Hardest Hit Fund state program requests, investigate payment discrepancies, track mandatory reporting, and review Servicer Participation Agreement amendments.
• Support branches with offsets, unsatisfied accounts, account reconciliations, and general ledger balancing.
• Manage daily MI Claim workflows, urgent requests, aged-task reconciliation, manual check processing, quality control, and check-log reconciliation.
• Resolve operational issues, review peer work when needed, and maintain compliance and internal control standards.

Requirements

• Three combined years of higher education and/or work experience, including at least one year of office or mortgage collections experience.
• Proficiency with word processing, spreadsheet, and email software.
• Strong communication, time management, analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and support multiple business lines.
• Knowledge of state and federal regulations and bank policies is preferred.
• Full-time availability for the hybrid role in Getzville, New York.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree.
• One year of accounting experience.
• Two years of legal document processing or foreclosure experience.
• Ability to provide direction and lead others.
• Notary Public status and knowledge of M&T Bank systems.
