Trailing Document Specialist (Mortgage Lending)

Location: On-site at hirify.global's Irvine, California office; employees must live within reasonable commuting distance

Salary: $23.50–$35.30 per hour in California and other listed states; actual pay varies by experience, performance, and location.

What you will do

• Receive, review, audit, scan, and upload final title policies and recorded mortgages or deeds of trust to Encompass.
• Communicate with investors and title companies about pending or missing trailing documents.
• Resolve missing, incorrect, damaged, illegible, unrecorded, or otherwise unusable documents.
• Prepare trailing documents for shipment to investors and monitor file location and movement.
• Maintain indexing, imaging, scanning, reporting, and other document administration activities.
• Manage assigned tasks independently while meeting service-level, turn-time, and escalation requirements.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required; an associate or bachelor's degree is preferred.
• At least 1 year of mortgage lending experience required; 2+ years of mortgage post-closing or related experience strongly preferred.
• Familiarity with loan origination systems, preferably Encompass, and document management platforms.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, communication, problem-solving, and reporting skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to work independently, collaborate cross-functionally, and work overtime as needed.
• Ability to work on-site at the Irvine, California office.
