Commercial Property Claims Adjuster

Location: Home United States; fully remote

What you will do

• Manage commercial property claims end to end for single-insurer specialty programs.
• Verify policy coverage, investigate losses, review documentation, estimates, repair costs, and vendor invoices.
• Coordinate with field adjusters, experts, policyholders, contractors, counsel, and other stakeholders to maintain claim progression.
• Prepare status reports, large-loss reports, Reservation of Rights letters, and Coverage Position letters.
• Handle appeals, disputes, mediations, settlement conferences, and litigated claims with defense counsel.
• Present claim overviews, participate in audits and quality control reviews, and monitor industry and regulatory developments.

Requirements

• Experience with Commercial Property claims investigation and settlement.
• Knowledge of Third-Party Administration, Excess & Surplus Lines including Lloyds, and standard carrier programs.
• Ability to interpret complex insurance policies, coverage terms, damage estimates, case law, statutory law, and DOI regulations.
• Strong analytical, negotiation, organization, documentation, communication, and prioritization skills.
• Bachelor’s degree or one to two years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination.
• English required; additional languages are beneficial. Moderate proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word is also required.
