Lead, Strategic Sourcing Electronics/Fiber Optics (Optoelectronics)

What you will do

• Lead global sourcing strategy for electronic components and fiber optic active devices, including transceivers, optical transmitters and receivers, laser diodes, and photodetectors.
• Own supplier selection, commercial negotiations, and strategic supplier relationships throughout the product lifecycle.
• Partner with R&D, engineering, and supply chain teams on product development, supplier selection, and total cost of ownership.
• Drive cost reduction through competitive bidding, market and technology scouting, should-cost modeling, and supplier consolidation.
• Develop the supplier base, implement dual-sourcing and insourcing initiatives, and qualify alternative manufacturers.
• Manage supply chain risk and supplier performance across cost, quality, delivery, and capacity.

Requirements

• Degree in business, supply chain management, engineering, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in strategic sourcing, category management, or procurement for electronic components or fiber optic active devices.
• Technical familiarity with transceivers, laser or LED components, photodetectors, semiconductor components, or related optoelectronic devices.
• Strong proficiency in cost modeling, market analysis, negotiation preparation, and data-driven sourcing decisions.
• Strong analytical, organizational, negotiation, and cross-cultural collaboration skills.
• Software proficiency in ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Excel, Word, and Access.
