Senior Shipment Planner (Ocean Freight)

Location: Variable/mobile work location in Germany; remote work possible for more than 50% of the time, with a hybrid work system

What you will do

• Plan and coordinate ocean transports for national and international projects on schedule and within cost targets.
• Consolidate project requirements and optimize cargo volumes for ocean shipments.
• Review network plan requirements and dates in SAP SCM and adjust shipment planning when schedules change.
• Coordinate shipment volumes, material availability, delivery strategies, destination ports, and internal interfaces.
• Prepare vessel procurement notifications and packing lists for operational execution.
• Visualize shipment data in Power BI and contribute to process streamlining and data standardization.

Requirements

• Completed commercial vocational training, a degree in logistics or supply chain management, or a comparable qualification.
• Several years of experience in transport logistics, project logistics, ocean freight, or a comparable coordination role.
• Experience managing or coordinating logistics projects, including schedules, interfaces, and dependencies.
• Structured understanding of operational logistics processes, schedules, volumes, and project risks.
• Proficiency in MS Office; SAP SCM, SAP R3, and Power BI knowledge is advantageous.
• Good written and spoken German and English, with strong communication skills for international contacts and operational partners.
