Principal Cloud Engineer - AI Platform

What you will do

• Design and maintain infrastructure for production AI agents, including workload identity, gateways, network isolation, and sensitive-data redaction.
• Lead GCP networking and security architecture across private connectivity, zero-trust egress, service perimeters, and IAM controls.
• Develop reusable Terraform modules, CI/CD pipelines, and temporary environments that enable safe, independent product-team deployments.
• Establish a centralized LLM access platform covering routing, virtual keys, provider onboarding, observability, and cost attribution.
• Document architectural and vendor decisions, including total cost of ownership, trade-offs, and platform constraints.
• Lead critical incident response and blameless postmortems, translating findings into improvements in security, resilience, and operational readiness.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience architecting enterprise-grade GCP environments, including GCP networking, VPC Service Controls, Private Service Connect, IAM perimeters, and Workload Identity.
• Experience with infrastructure as code and production AI or ML workloads such as model serving, agent runtimes, or inference gateways.
• Practical expertise in machine-to-machine authorization, service accounts, short-lived credentials, certificate-based identity, token delegation, and on-behalf-of authorization.
• Experience owning production incidents, making deployment decisions under pressure, and communicating with executives during outages.
• Experience at a B2B SaaS company and with agent development frameworks, agent runtime platforms, and related tooling.
• Experience with automated secrets rotation, policy as code, and governance that limits unauthorized AI deployments.
