Senior ISR Mission Systems Engineer for Military Derivatives (Aerospace)

What you will do

• Lead systems engineering activities for ISR mission systems supporting maritime surveillance and Anti-Submarine Warfare.
• Transform customer requirements into functional requirements, system designs, models, subsystem specifications, and interface control documents.
• Manage the integration and optimization of specialized acoustic, magnetic anomaly detection, radar, electro-optical, and electronic surveillance sensors.
• Lead system integration and lifecycle activities across the V-model, from requirements capture through equipment integration.
• Direct verification and validation activities, including laboratory validation, aircraft ground testing, and flight testing.
• Provide technical oversight to suppliers and support customer discussions, procurement, and commercial campaigns.

Requirements

• Degree in Aerospace, Electronic, Computer Science, or Systems Engineering; a Master’s degree is highly preferred.
• At least 5 years of experience in ISR mission systems or avionics within the aerospace or defense sector.
• Experience with systems engineering, functional analysis, configuration control, V&V, airworthiness, certification, and complex mission architectures.
• Knowledge of mission computing, embedded hardware, real-time environments, aeronautical data buses, and mission-critical hardware qualification.
• Strong verbal and written skills in Spanish and English are mandatory.
• Willingness to travel for customer discussions, supplier oversight, system integration, and flight-testing activities.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of French.
• Expertise in ASW and underwater detection, aeronautical cybersecurity, maritime and electronic surveillance, tactical datalinks, or emerging aerospace computing technologies.
