FPGA Hardware Engineer (Avionics)

Location: Tres Cantos, Madrid, Spain; hybrid working model. Up to 8 weeks per year of teleworking outside the usual geographical area.

What you will do

• Design and implement digital FPGA architectures for avionics systems.
• Develop programmable logic using VHDL.
• Define and analyse technical design requirements.
• Perform functional simulations, hardware testing, and design verification.
• Contribute throughout the FPGA lifecycle from requirements definition through implementation and verification.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on hardware and electronic systems integration.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of FPGA design or HW/SW development experience in complex, regulated technical environments.
• Completed degree in Systems Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience with FPGA digital architecture design, functional simulation, and laboratory hardware verification.
• Proficiency in VHDL.
• Experience preparing technical and test documentation.
• Ability to work with electronic and computing architectures and structured systems engineering methodologies.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of Microchip FPGAs and the Libero IDE.
• Knowledge of the DO-254 avionics certification standard.
• Experience with high-speed interfaces, particularly PCIe.
• Experience with Git or SVN.
