Human Factors Engineering and Flight Deck Specialist (Aerospace)

What you will do

• Design workstations for cockpits, flight decks, mission consoles, and ground control stations, including geometry, layout, and furnishing.
• Design human-machine interfaces and multimodal interactions for control units, indicators, displays, and graphical user interfaces.
• Apply the end-to-end Human Factors Engineering process from concept definition through entry into service.
• Perform mission, task, ergonomic, workload, and human error analyses.
• Develop hardware and software HMI prototypes, including virtual models, simulations, and physical mock-ups.
• Conduct user-centered design reviews, demonstrations, validation, testing, qualification, and certification.

Requirements

• Degree in Aeronautical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Advanced English proficiency required.
• Knowledge of system engineering, human-machine interaction, user interface and user experience design, and software ergonomics.
• Understanding of physical and cognitive ergonomics, including visibility, reachability, workload, situational awareness, human error, lighting, NVIS compatibility, and noise.
• Work based in the Getafe Area, Spain.
