Lead Plant Operator (Renewable Natural Gas)

Location: Raiford, Florida, United States; on-site at the New River RNG facility

Salary: $38.00–$42.00 per hour, with a bonus for eligible positions

What you will do

• Lead day-to-day operation of the renewable natural gas facility and take ownership of plant performance.
• Operate, monitor, adjust, and repair blowers, gas pretreatment, chilling, CO2, N2 and O2 removal, compression, and related equipment.
• Coordinate maintenance activities, vendors, contractors, preventative maintenance, inventory, outages, and overhauls.
• Provide safety and environmental leadership, including LOTO and JHA reviews, incident reporting, spill response, and compliance monitoring.
• Develop operator schedules, coordinate shift coverage, support training, and respond to callouts.
• Maintain production records, inspect equipment, troubleshoot failures, and keep the plant, equipment, and grounds clean and organized.

Requirements

• 7+ years of renewable energy experience preferred.
• Experience with pumps, blowers, air compressors, gas compressor operations and maintenance, or heavy equipment operations.
• Strong mechanical skills, general troubleshooting ability, basic process knowledge, and working knowledge of pressure, temperature, and flow.
• Recordkeeping, logging, computer, and Microsoft Office skills.
• Current and valid unrestricted driver’s license.
• Ability to work 40–50 hours per week, including occasional nights, weekends, and rolling 24/7 callout coverage.
