Operations Specialist (Wharton, TX)

What you will do

• Operate and maintain pipelines, compressor stations, engines, turbines, pumps, valves, measurement equipment, and related process equipment.
• Install, repair, service, and maintain pipeline systems, corrosion control equipment, storage well equipment, and facility infrastructure.
• Start, stop, adjust, and diagnose engines, pumps, compressors, seals, valves, instruments, and auxiliary equipment.
• Oversee third-party construction and maintenance activities and train company and contractor personnel as required.
• Perform regulatory, safety, environmental, documentation, and operational excellence activities.
• Respond to callouts and emergencies, inspect facilities, and work with landowners, public officials, customers, suppliers, engineering staff, and management.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic computer and mathematical skills, including familiarity with MS Office and company software.
• Valid driver's license and a driving record satisfactory to the company and its insurers.
• Ability to work onsite in Wharton, Texas, respond to after-hours emergencies, work overtime, and travel when required.
• Ability to work in extreme weather, confined spaces, elevated areas, low-lit locations, and physically demanding conditions; lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
• Successful completion of a drug screen and background check before employment.

Nice to have

• Experience reading blueprints, P&IDs, and other diagrams.
• Knowledge of flammable gases, liquids, and high- and low-pressure systems.
• Pipeline, compression, compressor engine, pump, or related equipment experience.
