Operations and Maintenance Technician (Renewable Natural Gas)

Location: Roxana, Illinois, USA; work is assigned to the Roxana RNG Plant. Occasional travel may be required.

Salary: $30.77–$44.47 per hour, plus benefits and potential performance incentives.

What you will do

• Operate and maintain the renewable natural gas facility and associated pipeline in compliance with permits, safety standards, and DOT requirements.
• Develop equipment maintenance plans, coordinate maintenance activities, and oversee planned outages and records.
• Support plant production goals and identify upgrades that improve safety, reliability, and operational performance.
• Respond to plant issues outside regular hours and support incident reporting, investigations, and corrective actions.
• Maintain operator qualification and training programs and revise plant standard operating procedures.
• Support budgeting, cost management, procurement, delivery scheduling, invoice approval, reporting, and special projects.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience in lieu of a degree.
• At least 5 years of direct operations and maintenance experience in an industrial setting.
• Ability to successfully pass a DOT background check and meet strict DOT requirements.
• Working knowledge of reading and interpreting system drawings and P&IDs.
• Organizational and leadership skills.
• Ability to work at the Roxana, Illinois plant, with occasional travel as required.

Nice to have

• At least 2 years of experience in renewable natural gas or natural gas pipeline operations and maintenance.
• Relevant technical training through military service, trade school, industrial experience, or technical training school.
• Bachelor of Science degree in engineering or a technical discipline.
• Military or merchant marine experience.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
