Senior Project Manager (ITSM)

Location: Hampshire, United Kingdom — onsite 5 days per week. The role requires eligibility for UK Government and contractual personnel security requirements, applicable residency requirements, and the right to work in the United Kingdom; nationality requirements may apply.

What you will do

• Lead end-to-end transition into a new programme within a complex IT service management environment.
• Establish governance frameworks, controls, reporting, escalation routes, quality gates, and decision-making forums.
• Develop and manage transition schedules, milestones, dependencies, critical-path activities, and deliverables.
• Own the RAID framework and drive risks, issues, actions, and decisions through to resolution.
• Coordinate technical, operational, process, commercial, and business workstreams and remove delivery blockers.
• Act as the primary customer-DXC transition contact and facilitate stakeholder meetings across technical, operational, and executive levels.

Requirements

• Strong project or programme management experience in complex IT environments and major ITSM transition or transformation programmes.
• Good knowledge of ITIL, ITSM, and service transition practices.
• Experience with planning, RAID management, risk mitigation, issue resolution, governance, reporting, and documentation.
• Ability to manage multiple workstreams, SMEs, cross-functional dependencies, and stakeholder relationships.
• Experience delivering complex service transitions for major customers and onboarding teams into new operating processes, quality gates, and documentation standards.
• Must meet applicable UK security and residency requirements and have the right to work in the United Kingdom.

Nice to have

• Experience with walk-in takeover, service commencement, or rapid transition programmes.
• Experience in high-security, government, defence, or regulated environments.
• Relevant project or programme management and ITIL qualifications.
