Tactical Communications Lab Test Engineer (Aerospace)

Location: Getafe Area, Madrid, Spain; hybrid working model when possible.

What you will do

• Analyze technical documentation and requirements to create rig test cases, procedures, and test specifications.
• Prepare simulation requirements, test scripts, initialization files, pre-test datasets, and tactical scenarios.
• Execute tests in virtual environments, subsystem rigs, global system integration rigs, and support aircraft ground and flight testing.
• Analyze system behavior and test results, producing comprehensive technical reports.
• Identify and manage equipment and system problem reports, including root-cause investigations.
• Manage DOORS, Octane, and FTNet lifecycle tools and specify qualified decoding, emulation, and automation tools.

Requirements

• BSc or MSc in Telecommunications, Radiocommunications, Industrial Electronics, Aeronautical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 2–6 years of experience in hands-on or hands-off system and rig testing for tactical, mission, safety communication, or similar systems.
• Knowledge of tactical datalinks such as Link 16, Link 22, and VMF, as well as SATCOM, V/UHF radios, and communication servers.
• Experience with laboratory equipment and simulators such as 1553 databus analyzers, TIGER, MIGATO, LEGS, AIDASS, or LabView; experience interpreting requirements, scripting tests, and assessing system behavior.
• Advanced English and Spanish, written and spoken, are required.
• Active NATO security clearance or eligibility to obtain it, plus eligibility for ITAR and national export-control authorizations.
