Claims Specialist Bodily Injury-Hybrid (Insurance)

Location: Hybrid in Richfield, Ohio, with four days per week onsite and one remote day, or fully remote from the United States if not local to the office.

Salary: $90,000–$95,000 per year

What you will do

• Manage a large inventory of complex bodily injury and property and casualty claims.
• Investigate coverage, liability, compensability, and damages.
• Analyze and negotiate claim settlements and reserves within assigned authority.
• Attend arbitrations, mediations, depositions, and trials when required.
• Communicate coverage and settlement information to insureds, claimants, and external partners.
• Authorize payments, maintain detailed claim files, and potentially coach claims staff.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, risk management and insurance, finance, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• At least 9 years of property and casualty claims-handling experience.
• Strong knowledge of insurance policies, coverage, claims procedures, industry laws, and regulations.
• Advanced analytical, negotiation, problem-solving, organization, and communication skills.
• Ability to handle confidential information and manage complex caseloads through timely resolution.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future employment visa sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Experience with litigated bodily injury claims.
• Completed or ongoing professional designation such as Associate in Claims (AIC).
