General Liability Technical Specialist

Location: Hybrid role in Richardson, Texas, United States; travel, including overnight stays, may be required for mediations, trials, and arbitrations.

Annual base salary: $85,600–$141,200.

What you will do

• Manage an active caseload of moderate to high-complexity bodily injury and property damage liability claims from first notice of loss through resolution.
• Investigate claims, determine coverage, evaluate liability and damages, establish reserves, and issue timely payments.
• Communicate with customers, attorneys, claimants, contractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
• Negotiate settlements, coordinate internal and external resources, and support litigation strategies with counsel.
• Maintain accurate claim records, improve best practices, and adapt to new technology and AI-enabled tools.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to Claim Representatives and Associate Claim Representatives.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required; a bachelor's degree is preferred.
• At least two years of bodily injury liability, property damage liability, or comparable claims experience; three years is preferred.
• At least two years of litigation claim experience is preferred.
• Active adjuster license where required by state law, with relevant insurance licenses obtained within three months of starting.
• Experience with claims management systems, Microsoft Office, and enterprise technology platforms.
• Strong analytical, communication, customer service, organizational, conflict resolution, negotiation, and decision-making skills.
