Auto Physical Damage Manager (Insurance)

Location: Farmington Hills, Michigan, United States; hybrid schedule with 2 days onsite in an hirify.global office; ability to travel up to 10%.

What you will do

• Lead the day-to-day performance and service delivery of the Auto Physical Damage function within Commercial Claims.
• Manage, train, coach, assign work to, and provide performance feedback for direct reports.
• Oversee coverage analysis, investigations, reserving, claim resolution, compliance, and technical quality.
• Provide direction on complex, high-exposure, sensitive, and escalated claims.
• Monitor inventory, cycle time, quality, severity, expense, and service metrics and implement corrective actions.
• Build relationships with agency partners and collaborate with Claims, Underwriting, Loss Control, Legal, Special Investigations, and vendors.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business, insurance, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
• At least 5 years of commercial auto physical damage claims experience, including complex claim handling and technical oversight.
• Prior people leadership experience is required.
• Experience with agency or customer escalations and cross-functional claims matters.
• Strong communication, collaboration, change leadership, conflict resolution, decision-making, and relationship management skills.
• Proficiency with claims systems, estimating platforms, reporting tools, and Microsoft Office applications.

• AIC, CPCU, SCLA, or a similar professional designation.
