Lead Integration Platform Architect (Azure)

What you will do

• Own the integration architecture strategy, roadmap, target state, standards, and governance.
• Establish API, messaging, event-driven integration, versioning, OpenAPI, AsyncAPI, and API catalogue practices.
• Architect secure, scalable, resilient, and reusable integration capabilities across an Azure-centric cloud estate.
• Lead the evolution of integration platforms and simplify dependencies across applications, platforms, services, and teams.
• Review solution designs, manage architectural risks and technical debt, and provide governance and assurance.
• Provide technical leadership to architects and engineers while partnering with the API Product Owner and strategic third parties.

Requirements

• Significant experience in integration, solution, enterprise, or comparable senior architecture leadership.
• Strong expertise in enterprise APIs, messaging, event-driven architecture, application connectivity, and platform design.
• Deep hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure integration services, including API Management, virtual networks, app services, and storage.
• Experience designing API gateways, event streaming or messaging with technologies such as Service Bus or Kafka, and secure external API exposure.
• Experience with synchronous and asynchronous integrations, OpenAPI or AsyncAPI contracts, DevSecOps, infrastructure as code, policy as code, and CI/CD.
• Experience delivering in a regulated financial-services environment is strongly preferred.

Nice to have

• Experience with third-party SaaS or wealth-platform providers such as FNZ.
• Backend application development experience, including .NET APIs.
• Experience working in regulated environments and exploring emerging technologies.
