TL;DR
EHS Professional (Manufacturing): Leading environmental, health and safety compliance and improvement activities at a manufacturing facility with an accent on risk reduction, incident learning, ISO management systems, and operational engagement. Focus on conducting audits and inspections, coaching employees, verifying critical controls, and supporting sustainable outcomes across manufacturing, warehouse, and operational areas.
Location: Wimborne, United Kingdom; onsite five days a week. The role may include up to 10% travel.
Salary: £50,000 per year, depending on experience.

manufactures construction and mining equipment, engines, industrial gas turbines, and diesel-electric locomotives, with the Oil & Gas and Marine Division operating across manufacturing, services, and digital products.
What you will do
- Partner with manufacturing and support teams to identify hazards, assess risks, and implement practical risk-reduction solutions.
- Conduct workplace inspections, audits, risk assessments, and EHS observations, tracking corrective actions and verifying control effectiveness.
- Support incident response, contributing-factor analysis, learning activities, and organizational risk reduction.
- Deliver EHS training, coaching, and awareness activities to strengthen employee ownership and safety culture.
- Coordinate EHS management systems, regulatory compliance, environmental programs, ISO 14001 activities, and external audits.
- Monitor EHS performance, support emergency preparedness and contractor management, and contribute to Marine Services initiatives.
Requirements
- NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent required; a Diploma or equivalent is desirable.
- Previous EHS experience, preferably in manufacturing, industrial, engineering, or operational environments.
- Working knowledge of EHS legislation, management systems, and compliance requirements.
- Knowledge of, or interest in developing expertise in, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.
- Ability to communicate technical information clearly, influence stakeholders, investigate incidents, and identify practical risk-reduction opportunities.
- Proactive, hands-on approach with strong organizational, planning, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
