ETCH Manager III, Customer Engineer (Semiconductor)

Location: Kyoto, Japan. The role includes regular customer visits and approximately 10% travel.

What you will do

• Develop and maintain customer relationships across the district and conduct regular customer visits.
• Manage, coach, evaluate, and develop customer engineers, including objectives, career planning, salary planning, mentoring, and corrective actions.
• Coordinate with Product Divisions on technical support, training, spare parts, and reliability, and prepare business reports.
• Lead escalation procedures, account planning, financial forecasting, and district cost-efficiency initiatives.
• Plan and execute system installations, including pre-facility and start-up meetings and process-support identification.
• Manage RMA procedures and monitor engineer effectiveness, customer-engineer time tracking, and corrective actions.

Requirements

• Experience managing customer engineering activities and directing engineers according to established policies and objectives.
• Ability to analyze situations and data, exercise judgment within defined procedures, and determine appropriate actions.
• Ability to gain cooperation and present technical information related to projects and schedules.
• Understanding of and commitment to hirify.global' Standards of Business Conduct and compliance requirements.
• Ability to work in Kyoto, Japan and travel approximately 10% of the time.
