Application Development Engineer (Electronics)

Location: Kawasaki-shi, Kanagawa, Japan; preference for hirify.global offices in Tokyo, Kawasaki, or Nagoya, with other hirify.global locations also considered. Business travel of approximately 40% is required.

What you will do

• Support large strategic accounts and develop new opportunities with global OEM customers.
• Plan projects, define technical objectives, and contribute to business growth.
• Assist with prototyping, laboratory work, hands-on product evaluation, and testing.
• Develop and deliver technical solutions that address customer needs and capture value for ICS.
• Build an understanding of customer processes and hirify.global products and services.
• Manage technology processes related to ICS products and services while collaborating with sales, marketing, product management, and R&D.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Electronics, or a related field.
• Technical proficiency, customer relationship-building capability, and business development experience.
• Technical consulting experience and a record of developing long-term customer relationships.
• Laboratory and hands-on product evaluation experience.
• Strong communication, collaboration, initiative, time management, learning agility, and result orientation.
• English communication skills are required for global collaboration. Ability to lead cross-functional teams involving hirify.global functions, customers, and OEM personnel.

Nice to have

• At least three years of experience designing high-voltage electric machines.
• Experience in the electronics industry.
• Familiarity with Salesforce.com or other CRM systems.
