Senior Fab Equipment Engineer (Chemical Analysis)

What you will do

• Apply process technology, equipment, and analytical equipment knowledge to support plant safety, quality, reliability, and cost goals.
• Implement changes to EHS and operating discipline while keeping relevant documentation valid, standardized, and up to date.
• Apply Statistical Process Control and analytical investigation methods to support manufacturing quality performance.
• Troubleshoot manufacturing processes, equipment, and analytical equipment; lead root cause investigations and corrective and preventive actions.
• Contribute to plant teams, organizational change efforts, and cross-functional work processes.
• Share technical information and support training for QC personnel while collaborating with global engineering experts.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Science or Engineering with a chemical or analytical background.
• Knowledge of chemical analysis methods and equipment, including HPLC, GC, UV-Vis, moisture analyzers, and viscometers.
• Fluent Japanese skills required.
• Basic English writing skills required, with motivation to develop communication skills.
• Strong collaboration and leadership skills in multidisciplinary and cross-geographic teams.
• Self-motivation, openness to change, and willingness to learn new skills.

Nice to have

• Three years of experience in chemical analysis.
• Problem-solving and continuous improvement experience with Six Sigma, root cause investigation, or Lean.
• Experience at a manufacturing site or in the specialty chemicals industry.
• Familiarity with SPC, ISO9001, ISO14001, IATF16949, semiconductor manufacturing, process safety, or project management processes.
