Senior/Assistant Finance Analyst (Corporate and Consumer)

Location: Hybrid, with 2 days per week in the Livingston office; candidates must have the right to work in the UK. Visa sponsorship is not available.

What you will do

• Prepare and review month-end journals, including accruals, prepayments, provisions, recharges, and reclassifications, and deliver accurate results to the close timetable.
• Prepare balance sheet and P&L analysis, explain material variances, and maintain reconciliations for cash, intercompany, fixed assets, accruals, and suspense accounts.
• Manage intercompany settlement, investigate reconciling items, and support fixed asset accounting including capitalisation, depreciation, and disposals.
• Run financial controls, maintain audit-ready evidence, support audits, statutory accounts, and tax queries, and keep process documentation current.
• Act as the first escalation point for the offshore RTR team, review its output, resolve issues with FP&A, Treasury, Tax, Payments, and other finance teams, and support junior colleagues.
• Improve the close through journal standardisation, automation, BlackLine and SAP functionality, system upgrades, testing, and finance transformation projects.

Requirements

• Part-qualified accountant through CIMA, ACCA, or ACA, or qualified by experience.
• Experience with month-end close, journals, and balance sheet reconciliations in a large or complex organisation.
• Good understanding of double-entry accounting and financial controls.
• Strong Excel skills and experience with an ERP system; SAP is preferred.
• Attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines without compromising quality.
• Clear communication with finance and non-finance stakeholders.
• Appropriate right to work in the UK.
