Manager, Design Consulting – AI Product & Experience Design

Location: London, United Kingdom. Hybrid position requiring at least 3 days in the office; exact office days will be confirmed by the Hiring Manager.

What you will do

• Lead client engagements to identify, prioritise and design AI-powered products, services and experiences from discovery through delivery.
• Apply human-centred design, product strategy and service design methods to AI-enabled and traditional digital products.
• Design conversational interfaces, AI copilots, agentic workflows, human-AI interaction patterns and trust mechanisms.
• Create customer journeys, service blueprints, prototypes and other artefacts to communicate, test and validate concepts.
• Lead workshops, research and experimentation activities, presenting recommendations to practitioners and senior executives.
• Provide design direction and quality oversight while contributing to AI consulting methods, frameworks and thought leadership.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in product design, UX design, service design, interaction design or related disciplines, including leadership of complex design workstreams or client engagements.
• Experience designing digital products and services using generative AI, conversational AI, AI copilots, agentic systems or other AI-enabled capabilities.
• Practical understanding of large language models, prompting, evaluation approaches and non-deterministic system limitations.
• Understanding of agentic systems, orchestration patterns, human-in-the-loop workflows and emerging AI interaction models.
• Strong communication, facilitation, storytelling, stakeholder management and strategic problem-solving skills.
• Online portfolio required, including at least one relevant AI, conversational or emerging-technology case study.

• Experience in a design consultancy, innovation consultancy or product consulting environment.
• Experience in financial services, payments, fintech or other regulated industries.
• Experience designing products and services across multiple markets, languages or cultural contexts.
