TL;DR
Architect — InsuranceSuite (Guidewire Cloud/Insurance): Designing and delivering customer implementation workstreams across PolicyCenter, ClaimCenter, BillingCenter, or integrations with an accent on solution architecture, Gosu and Java development, and insurance systems delivery. Focus on leading workstreams, building resilient integrations, reviewing production-quality code, applying AI-assisted engineering, and mentoring consultants and developers.

What you will do
- Own the design, estimation, planning, and delivery of a customer implementation workstream.
- Build production-quality configuration and code in Gosu and Java on Cloud Platform.
- Lead code and design reviews, identify delivery risks, and communicate options to customers and project leadership.
- Configure PolicyCenter, ClaimCenter, or BillingCenter across product models, rules, workflows, and user interfaces, or design integrations using Cloud API, Integration Gateway, App Events, and messaging.
- Connect InsuranceSuite with payment, document, rating, data, identity, and other customer systems while ensuring resilient, secure, and performant integrations.
- Mentor junior consultants and developers, contribute reusable assets, and share implementation knowledge within the practice.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience delivering core insurance or enterprise systems, including at least 3 years of hands-on InsuranceSuite experience.
- Experience across implementation phases including inception, build, stabilization, and go-live.
- Strong knowledge of one InsuranceSuite product and working knowledge of at least one other: PolicyCenter, ClaimCenter, or BillingCenter.
- Proficiency in Gosu and Java, with Git-based delivery and CI/CD experience using TeamCity, Jenkins, or similar tools.
- Experience leading a small team or workstream and reviewing other people's work.
- Clear written and spoken English and the ability to work directly with customer stakeholders.
Nice to have
- Cloud Platform delivery or self-managed-to-cloud migration experience.
- Experience with Jutro, Data Platform, or the wider portfolio.
- Practical experience using AI coding assistants or agents in delivery teams.
- Agile delivery experience, including a Scrum Master or delivery-lead role.
- Knowledge of the ANZ insurance market and regulatory context such as APRA.
