Experienced Engineer (AI)

Location: On-site in San Francisco, USA; Wednesdays may be worked from home.

Salary: $220K–$300K annually, plus equity.

What you will do

• Work with customers, founders, and cross-functional teams to identify important problems and product opportunities.
• Lead substantial projects end-to-end, including product design, technical architecture, implementation, launch, and iteration.
• Build AI-native products that turn complex business data into actionable intelligence and automate workflows.
• Build reliable, high-performance systems with strong observability, metrics, and operational practices.
• Lead technical design discussions, mentor engineers, conduct code reviews, and establish engineering practices.
• Help grow the engineering team through recruiting and knowledge-sharing.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience building and shipping software products.
• Strong full-stack engineering skills and the ability to independently scope, plan, and drive projects.
• Strong product judgment, analytical thinking, and experience turning ambiguous customer problems into effective solutions.
• High standards for reliability, performance, maintainability, and product quality.
• Interest in LLMs and intelligent systems, with strong software engineering fundamentals.
• Ability to ramp up on TypeScript, React, Next.js, Node, Apollo GraphQL, and PostgreSQL.
