Software Engineer (AI)

Location: New York City, on-site

Salary: $140K–$225K annually, plus 0.05%–0.35% equity

What you will do

• Drive the success of strategic customer accounts by partnering directly with law firm leadership.
• Develop AI products that introduce new workflows for legal professionals.
• Visit customers regularly to understand their needs, prioritize requests, and translate them into technical solutions.
• Prototype and integrate AI pipelines, including retrieval-augmented generation workflows.
• Mentor future hires through pairing and code reviews while helping shape the engineering culture.

Requirements

• 2–8 years of experience at hyper-growth startups.
• Computer science degree from a top university.
• Strong product sense and ability to make technical and product decisions.
• High ownership and ability to operate autonomously.
• Willingness to work in person in New York City and collaborate directly with customers.

Nice to have

• Experience building AI products or retrieval-augmented generation pipelines.
• Experience working across customer-facing product development and engineering.
