Senior Azure DevOps Engineer (Platform Engineering)

Location: Remote from Mexico, Mexico City; availability to work in the U.S. Central Time Zone (CT). The role operates under a contractor model.

What you will do

• Design and implement secure Azure tenant platforms aligned with Microsoft Cloud Adoption Framework standards.
• Build, deploy, and maintain Terraform-based Infrastructure as Code and Azure landing zones for application and workload migrations.
• Manage Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines, approvals, security gates, source control, and container image promotion across environments.
• Automate resource provisioning, scaling, and infrastructure operations using PowerShell, Python, or Bash.
• Implement Azure identity, security, governance, and policy controls across cloud environments.
• Monitor performance, security, and cost efficiency while providing technical guidance and operational support to application teams and stakeholders.

Requirements

• 9+ years of hands-on experience in DevOps and cloud environments.
• Strong experience with Azure Cloud Platform, Microsoft CAF, Terraform, and Infrastructure as Code.
• Experience with Azure networking, landing zones, identity, security architecture, Azure Policy, and governance.
• Hands-on experience with Azure compute services, including AKS, Container Apps, App Service, Function Apps, Key Vault, and Azure Container Registry.
• Strong spoken English at B2+ level for technical discussions with US-based stakeholders.
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent professional experience.

Nice to have

• Experience in financial services or regulated environments.
• Experience with Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Azure messaging services, Azure API Management, Bicep, or AI-assisted engineering tools.
