Scrum Master (AI/ML)

Location: Fairfax, Virginia, United States; onsite role supporting U.S. Government mission partner enclaves.

Salary: $110,000–$130,000 per year.

What you will do

• Serve as Scrum Master for one or more Agile development teams and facilitate Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Backlog Refinement, Reviews, Retrospectives, Release Planning, and PI Planning.
• Coach teams in Scrum, SAFe, and Agile practices while improving collaboration, accountability, delivery quality, and continuous improvement.
• Partner with Product Owners, Agile Coaches, technical teams, business stakeholders, and government customers to refine requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and backlogs.
• Manage Jira, Confluence, sprint and product backlogs, Agile metrics, dashboards, velocity, burndown charts, release status, risks, issues, dependencies, and blockers.
• Coordinate application development, DevSecOps, maintenance windows, change implementation, operational activities, and cross-functional initiatives.
• Prepare executive briefings, status reports, SOPs, meeting documentation, and program artifacts while supporting project and program managers.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship and an active DoD Secret clearance are required.
• Onsite work in Fairfax, Virginia, United States is required.
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related STEM discipline.
• Three or more years of experience as a certified Scrum Master, Product Owner, or Release Train Engineer for medium to large Agile software development efforts.
• Strong knowledge of Agile and Scrum methodologies, SAFe 6.0, Agile ceremonies, requirements management, user stories, acceptance criteria, and backlog maintenance.
• Experience with Jira, Confluence, Microsoft Office 365, stakeholder communication, coordination, problem-solving, and influencing teams without direct authority.

Nice to have

• CSM, PSM, PMI-ACP, SAFe, or equivalent Agile certification.
• ITIL Practitioner or ITIL Foundations certification.
• Experience with infrastructure, cybersecurity, cloud, enterprise IT, DoD, or federal IT programs.
• Project administration or management experience and Agile metrics reporting experience.
