Systems Administrator (Systems Administration, Associate)

Location: Lexington Park, Maryland, United States; on-site 5 days per week. Travel to other sites may be required 20–35% of the time, with occasional weekend work.

Salary: $100,000–$155,000 per year.

What you will do

• Install, configure, administer, support, and maintain Microsoft Windows and Red Hat Linux operating systems.
• Administer VMware server and cluster environments.
• Implement Risk Management Framework methodology and maintain security patches and DoD STIG-based configuration standards.
• Troubleshoot hardware and software issues and coordinate resolutions with technical resources and vendors.
• Create and maintain system documentation, diagrams, standard operating procedures, and project records.
• Monitor system capacity and performance, research automation opportunities, and recommend improvements.

Requirements

• At least 7 years of Microsoft Windows and/or Linux systems administration experience.
• Active Security+ CE or CISSP certification.
• Extensive knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy, and System Center Configuration Manager.
• Experience with SCAP and STIGs, plus familiarity with ACAS and the RMF process.
• Current Top Secret clearance and familiarity with SCIF constraints, electronic device restrictions, and secure data handling.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline or equivalent education and experience; the role also requires lifting up to 40 lbs. occasionally.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of Navy systems, networks, and IT infrastructure.
• Seven years of senior-level systems administration experience.
• Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate certification.
