Buyer II, Avionics (Aerospace)

Location: Onsite in Long Beach, California, United States. Travel to supplier sites may be required up to 20% of the time, with occasional evening or weekend work for critical mission milestones.

Salary: $88,806–$126,061.20 USD per year.

What you will do

• Manage the full procurement lifecycle for assigned avionics commodities, from demand identification through fulfillment.
• Support supplier selection, RFQ/RFP cycles, negotiations, contracting, and purchase order placement.
• Manage supplier performance against business KPIs and drive supplier improvement activities.
• Develop sourcing and commodity strategies aligned with program, customer, and product priorities.
• Review contracts and terms and conditions, lead negotiations, and build defensible should-cost models.
• Collaborate with Legal, Contracts, Finance, Planning, Operations, Program Management, Engineering, and Quality to manage supplier risks and performance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 2–4+ years of experience in sourcing, procurement, supply chain, or manufacturing operations.
• Experience with supplier selection, RFQ/RFP processes, negotiations, and purchase order placement.
• Exposure to manufacturing or aerospace supply chains; aerospace, spaceflight, or highly regulated manufacturing experience is preferred.
• Familiarity with circuit card design, harness design, electrical schematic reviews, and schematic capture software such as Altium.
• Must qualify as a U.S. person under U.S. export-control regulations or be eligible for deemed export licensing.
