Sourcing Manager (Aerospace)

Location: On-site in El Segundo, California, United States; willingness and ability to travel up to 50% of the time. Only U.S. persons authorized to access export-controlled technology may be hired.

Salary: $125,306–$169,533 per year, plus potential stock options and/or long-term cash awards.

What you will do

• Own purchasing for machined components and related commodities from quotation through delivery.
• Issue RFQs, place purchase orders, and lead open-order meetings with key suppliers.
• Assess supplier capacity, lead times, cost trends, and production constraints.
• Develop a preferred supplier network with supply chain engineering to reduce cost and lead time.
• Partner with design engineering on upcoming releases and part changes.
• Negotiate pricing and delivery terms while creating mitigation plans for supply risks.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, engineering, business, finance, or a related field.
• At least 4 years of relevant experience, ideally in space, aerospace, precision medical devices, pharmaceutical manufacturing, biotech, or life sciences.
• Experience with strategic sourcing of machined or propulsion components.
• Experience translating engineering designs into demand and supply plans.
• Extensive experience with MES/ERP software and strong supplier relationship and influencing skills.
• U.S. person status is required for access to export-controlled technology.

Nice to have

• Experience with VBA, Smartsheet, SQL, Confluence, JIRA, Power BI, ION, or similar tools.
• Previous work as a machinist and understanding of manufacturing and material flow processes.
• Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and presentation skills.
