ServiceNow Architect (Managed Services)

Location: Remote, Continental United States; approximately 5% travel required.

What you will do

• Own the ServiceNow target architecture, technical standards, design principles, and platform roadmap in a Managed Services Provider environment.
• Lead domain separation architecture covering customer data isolation, visibility, security, configuration, reporting, and cross-domain behavior.
• Guide the transition from heavily customized implementations toward scalable, maintainable, upgrade-friendly out-of-the-box capabilities.
• Architect ITOM Discovery, Event Management, ITSM Pro, Customer Success Management, Project Portfolio Management, and Customer Service Management solutions.
• Design and govern integrations using APIs, IntegrationHub, MID Servers, webhooks, authentication, monitoring, and lifecycle standards.
• Provide design reviews, code reviews, technical guidance, mentoring, prototyping, troubleshooting, and release and upgrade planning.

Requirements

• 8+ years of ServiceNow experience across architecture, design, configuration, and development.
• 3+ years architecting ServiceNow solutions in a Managed Services Provider or complex multi-customer environment.
• Hands-on experience with ServiceNow development, JavaScript, Business Rules, Script Includes, Flow Designer, integrations, APIs, and platform debugging.
• Experience with domain separation, ITSM, CMDB architecture, data modeling, Discovery, identification and reconciliation, and operational data governance.
• Strong background in REST, SOAP, IntegrationHub, MID Servers, webhooks, secure authentication, platform security, scalability, release management, and upgrades.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and/or military experience, plus strong communication, documentation, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with service mapping, observability integrations, alert management, automation, and proactive operations.
• Experience with Automated Test Framework, source control, application development standards, CI/CD, portals, workspaces, reporting, and Performance Analytics.
• Knowledge of ITIL practices, product management, architecture governance, and platform operating models.
• ServiceNow Certified System Administrator, Certified Application Developer, Certified Technical Architect, Certified Master Architect, or relevant implementation specialist certifications.
