Inventory Specialist (Aerospace Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Receive, identify, document, track, ship, and issue inbound and outbound materials.
• Maintain alignment between physical inventory and ERP system quantities and locations.
• Own cycle counting, physical audits, inventory reconciliation, and discrepancy resolution.
• Work with Purchasing, Production, and Supply Chain stakeholders to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
• Support production kitting and material flow according to production plans.
• Optimize storage locations and support continuous improvement in inventory control, process efficiency, and data accuracy.

Requirements

• High school or vocational school diploma.
• 3+ years of experience in material management, manufacturing operations, or a related field.
• Experience using ERP systems in a manufacturing environment.
• Advanced Excel skills, including data analysis and reconciliation, plus proficiency with Word and PowerPoint.
• Strong written and verbal communication, attention to detail, and a hands-on continuous improvement mindset.
• Ability to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance; access to classified or export-controlled information may require additional U.S. government eligibility.

Nice to have

• Inventory experience in aerospace, defense, or high-tech manufacturing.
• Experience improving inventory control or warehouse operations.
• Familiarity with structured cycle count programs, audit readiness, production kitting, and material flow optimization.
• Supply chain or operations certifications such as APICS.
