TL;DR

Materials Planner (Aerospace): Driving production material readiness for radar manufacturing and deployment schedules with an accent on BOM scrubs, kit-readiness reporting, shortage management, and advanced Excel-based planning. Focus on reconciling inventory, open supply, purchase orders, and production requirements, resolving BOM discrepancies, and coordinating recovery actions across Production, Warehouse, Purchasing, Engineering, and Supply Chain.

Location: Menlo Park, California, United States. Flexible remote/hybrid opportunities are available. ITAR eligibility and the ability to obtain required U.S. Department of State authorizations are required.

Base salary: $147,000, plus bonus and equity. Actual compensation depends on work location, experience, skills, and other applicable factors.

What you will do

Own BOM scrubs, kit-readiness analysis, shortage visibility, and material-readiness planning for radar manufacturing builds.
Develop Excel- and ERP-based reports covering inventory, open purchase orders, incoming supply, purchasing requirements, and unresolved material actions.
Translate production schedules and priorities into actionable material requirements, owners, recovery plans, and expected resolution dates.
Coordinate with Production, Warehouse, Inventory, Purchasing, Engineering, and Supply Chain Planning to resolve shortages and BOM discrepancies.
Support NPI, production ramp, continuous process improvement, urgent purchasing, and scalable material-readiness processes.

Requirements

Experience in materials, production, supply, or inventory planning within manufacturing supply chain.
Experience with multi-level Bills of Materials, subassemblies, BOM scrubs, production kitting, and shortage management.
Experience working with ERP/MRP systems; NetSuite experience is preferred.
Advanced Excel skills, including formulas, lookups, pivot tables, conditional logic, data validation, and large-data reconciliation.
Basic purchasing experience with RFQs, purchase orders, supplier lead times, follow-up, and expedite requests.
Must be eligible to obtain authorizations required under U.S. ITAR regulations.

Nice to have

Experience in electronics, aerospace, defense, or high-tech manufacturing.
NetSuite experience.
