Associate Director, AI Strategy and Solution Architecture

Location: Remote within the United States; Virginia-based role

Salary: $200,000–$210,000 per year

What you will do

• Lead large federal portfolios focused on cloud adoption, digital transformation, data, and AI initiatives.
• Advise senior government executives and support business development through proposals, whitepapers, thought leadership, and capture activities.
• Manage data and AI projects from ideation and feasibility assessment through deployment and post-sales delivery.
• Coordinate with data architects, engineers, subject matter experts, federal stakeholders, and internal Centers of Excellence.
• Lead cross-functional teams of 10–30+ technical and business professionals across onsite and distributed environments.
• Drive research, innovation programs, AI-enabled analytics, and continuous improvement across delivery organizations.

Requirements

• Must be a United States citizen and able to obtain Public Trust Clearance.
• 15+ years of experience in technology consulting, cloud solutions, or IT transformation.
• 7+ years managing technology projects and strategy teams in data science, data analytics, or data management.
• 5+ years leading large teams in federal or public-sector environments.
• Experience managing multi-million-dollar contracts and delivering solutions for federal civilian agencies.
• Experience with cloud adoption strategies, project management methodologies, leadership, communication, and presentation.

Nice to have

• AWS Solutions Architect Associate or equivalent cloud certification.
• PMP or SAFe Agilist certification.
• Knowledge of data governance, AI/ML concepts, Generative AI, AWS platforms, and LLM technologies.
• Experience managing proof-of-concept or proof-of-value lifecycles.
• Experience with Atlassian Suite and highly scalable platforms, products, or services.
