Human Resources Business Partner, Lead

Salary: $140,000–$160,000 per year

What you will do

• Partner strategically with Defense Business Unit leadership and serve as a single point of contact for employees and managers.
• Lead workforce planning aligned with program requirements, bids, proposals, and business growth.
• Analyze compensation, job scope, position classification, salary decisions, and internal pay alignment.
• Develop succession plans and support training, mentoring, coaching, and job shadowing for critical roles.
• Lead proactive employee relations, performance improvement, change management, and manager enablement initiatives.
• Reinforce company culture, policies, standards, recognition practices, and consistent application of disciplinary actions and benefits.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 10 years of progressive HR experience, including 5+ years supporting DoD programs in the federal contracting space.
• Strong knowledge of federal and state employment laws, including FMLA, FLSA, ADA, and Title VII.
• Extensive government contracting experience and experience with HRIS platforms; ADP is preferred.
• Strong documentation, analytical, and communication skills.
• Must be eligible to hold a U.S. Security Clearance.

Nice to have

• Professional HR certification such as SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, CCP, PHR, or SPHR.
• Demonstrated compensation and workforce planning experience.
• Experience engaging leaders to understand business needs and turn ideas into action.
