Senior Marketing and Proposal Specialist (AEC)

Location: Hybrid in the Chicago, Milwaukee, or Minneapolis areas; fully remote may be available within Illinois, Wisconsin, or Minnesota.

Salary: $97,000–$100,000 per year.

What you will do

• Lead and support complex proposal pursuits, presentations, award submissions, and marketing campaigns.
• Conduct market research and provide insights for regional growth strategies.
• Coordinate proposal schedules, kickoffs, debriefs, reviews, proofs, vendors, and concurrent deadlines.
• Create proposals, reports, presentations, graphics, and brand-aligned collateral using diverse media and data sources.
• Develop targeted marketing lists, maintain CRM and MSIS data, and analyze sales and marketing performance.
• Support conferences, internal communications, culture-building events, and employee engagement initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent education and experience.
• At least 5 years of marketing experience in the AEC or environmental consulting industry.
• Experience leading complex proposal efforts and managing multiple concurrent deadlines.
• Strong technical writing, editing, verbal communication, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Creative Suite.
• Must be able to work in the specified U.S. locations; employment visa sponsorship is not available.

Nice to have

• Website management and content update experience.
• Familiarity with IDOT EPAS and prequalification processes.
• Experience with Salesforce, CRM systems, and marketing automation tools.
• Knowledge of the Illinois market and regional industry landscape.
• Experience working with IDOT, counties, and municipal agencies.
