Risk Management & Independence Manager

Location: Edison, New Jersey; Chicago and Downers Grove, Illinois; Dallas, Texas; or Cleveland, Ohio. Hybrid role requiring in-person attendance at least three days per week at a hirify.global office or client site.

Salary: $112,000–$168,000 per year.

What you will do

• Advise partners, professionals, and engagement teams on independence standards covering services, business relationships, employment, and personal compliance.
• Perform relationship checks and restricted-list activities using RCS, RIL, Watch List, and GRL systems.
• Monitor independence matters for private equity firms, acquisitions, client relationships, and personal investment compliance.
• Develop and update independence policies, quality control requirements, technical publications, and nonaudit services resources.
• Create and present training on AICPA standards, independence requirements, and regulatory changes.
• Coordinate with hirify.global International member firms and lead multiple compliance projects with competing priorities.

Requirements

• Five or more years of experience related to the accounting profession; national office or independence office experience is strongly preferred.
• CPA certification required.
• Knowledge of international accounting and consulting firm operations and professional standards.
• Strong analytical, technical, written, verbal, interpersonal, presentation, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Strong Microsoft Word skills and experience with Microsoft Office products, including PowerPoint and Excel.
• Project planning and management experience, including handling multiple projects and tight deadlines; willingness to work additional hours and undertake limited travel.
